The 51 on the basketball would put this at 1951. I did some digging around on Google images to try and figure out if this was a local high school based on the uniforms/font, but I couldn’t find anything.

I love their sneakers. I’ve a bit of a crush on number 8 there to be truthful with you.

This one is my favorite. Strange collection of young ladies and children. I’m guess that’s santa in the middle. Either that or some kind of grand wizard.

Anyone recognize the room from the pillar, roof pattern, or windows?

This one provides the most detail. In ink handwriting on the back it says…

Forbes Mother & Father

Donald William MacLeod – born Feb 15, 1872 – Died Dec 2, 1948
Rachael (MacSeweyn) MacLeod – born April 16, 1878 – Died Dec 31, 1952

I am told Donald William MacLeod was the groundskeeper of Lady Dunn’s property in St. Andrews for most of his life. I have no idea if that is accurate.

These are scans of vintage photos I found in local antique/junk shop. Do you know these people?

  1. Aaron:

Chad might be able to validate the accuracy of your final comment. As you likely know, he was the groundkeeper at the Beaverbrook residence for years. Then again, he may have no idea…

  2. Dan:

I knew he was living in St. Andrews, but I hadn’t actually realized he was working at that residence. Neat.
