In early 2014 I was graciously given an opportunity to showcase some prints at the Saint John Arts Centre in the Canada Games Gallery. I chose to name the exhibit Establishing Shots, naively believing perhaps it was the first of a series of projects I would exhibit named after particular moments in a cinematic storytelling arc.
As is so often the case, life, lethargy, and my inability to finish anything were the story in the time since. My character arc is a bit of flatline.
But back then, when I was young and more ambitious, I sold a bunch of prints and people said a bunch of nice things. It was an incredible experience.
Collected here are the 18 photos that were exhibited, and below that some photos I consider part of the project that I didn’t have the space or finances to include back in 2014.

Below this line are the alternates that were never up on the wall.
