I put a call out on social media. I wanted to photograph my Facebook friends with their father’s on Father’s Day 2026, and I wanted to make the photograph somewhere that was important and favored by the fathers. I got some great responses.
For each of the close-up photos of the fathers, I asked their son or daughter to stand near the camera and tell them what it was that made them proud of their parent. I wanted to see what I could read in their faces as father’s listened to their children.
